Refsheet.net was started as a hobby project in 2016. Since then, it's been maintained by one developer, off-and-on support from their friends for moderation, and over 100 patrons.
At the time of its closure, it was home to 552,567 characters dreamed up by 159,082 users, and stored an incredible 2,294,971 images.
